Featured Trip: Haiti
Posted by admin under: Supplies Needed.

As we move closer and closer to Spring, I wanted to talk a little bit about a very important trip we have leaving for Hinche, Haiti May 6 – 14th. If you have never heard of Hinche it is probably for good reason – it is not that easy to get to! Our team of 12 will be taking a small prop plane that will arrive on a landing strip near the community where our medical team will stay and volunteer for the next 7 days. Hinche has been in the center of 3 hurricanes, a devastating financial crisis, and a food shortage in the past two years that has left many desperate for the simplest of human needs.
Please pray for safety and guidance as our team gets ready to leave on this important mission! Also, for those who are interested in donating supplies towards this trip, there are several items listed below that we will be packing in humanitarian bags to bring:
- Vitamins (especially children’s)
- Tylenol

Just a suggestion re the items for Haiti: when working with medical clinics in the DR, we had bubbles on hand for the children. This inexpensive liquid not only calmed the children, it helped a great deal to keep order. Also children’s bible resources in Kreyol. There are lots of places in the New York area where they can be obtained because there is a huge Haitian community here.
