Yesterday I received a phone call from one of our OnCall doctors to let me know the team has arrived safe and sound. Between the phone delay and bad reception I was only able to make out the basics of what they were saying, but it sounds like they are having the trip of a lifetime already! They were met on the ground by a government convoy and have been a local media sensation since the start of a surgical free clinic yesterday. There are even reports of the first lady coming to visit them this week! Stay tuned…
