Life is often compared to a story or a movie.  Here we have a cast of 8 women in different chapters of their journeys brought together by their leading Man and Author, GOD.  With nothing virtually in common, they are called to act out their passions and purposes.  Expecting Love, adventure, and danger knowing that where ever there is a heroine, there is also a villain.   Trusting their Director for guidance, they set out to live one amazing saga, prepared for battle.

Day 1 – Unity and Danger

The love of food automatically produced a unity in us.  As we munched on our “pollo”, chicken, and bananas, along with sipping our Guatemalan sodas, we discovered that we are all indeed fearfully and wonderfully made with our experiences and personalities that naturally meshed in harmony.  However, another form of unity sprung forth in an unexpected way.  As our stories continue to unfold, danger also came trailing in.  As one of our team members fell in a hole and broke her leg.  At an instant, we all united in prayer.  Everyone did everything and anything to comfort her until we reached the hospital.  After waiting half the night there, the doctor reported that our team member was going to be okay and we can pick her up in the morning.  When the rest of the team reached our place to rest, we noticed that one of our humanitarian boxes with medicines was missing! Thank God it was not one of the major ones with the equipment.  When faced with danger,  and the climax of the story appears to be out of place, the team turned to the Writer.  In the midst of the circumstance, we held our peace, contained our joy, and united us, ready to go to the next episode!
